Training Programs

The company runs an in-house 6-month design training school with a full-time instructor. After graduating from the school, design trainees are assigned to a design mentor for 18 months to complete their training. After 24 months the trainees are competent in design of all types of systems, adhering to Smith Fire Systems' high standards.

Sprinkler fitter apprentices are required to complete a 5-year state approved apprentice program which includes classroom and on-the-job training.
